What You Can Do

1. Contact Minister Gray, Minister of Labour.

Ask Minister Gray when will the rights of Alberta animal owners finally be completely and clearly protected in the Veterinary Profession Act? The Progressive Conservatives promised to do this 10 years ago and we are still waiting. See proposed Animal Owners Exemption table below. Please modernize the Veterinary Profession Act to include our freedom to choose.

Animal owners want to be able to continue to hire complementary therapists like acupuncturists, chiropractors, animal rehabilitation, massage, etc. without needing to pay for a veterinarian referral. We can freely choose health care options for our children, so why not for our animals too?
